Every product deserves one honest downside, and this is the toner's: it is very light. 250ml of mostly water and plant extract, with no oils and nothing occlusive to hold it in. On oily or combination skin in summer, that is exactly right. On dry skin in winter it does close to nothing on its own.
The fix is not a different toner, it is a cream over the top. Two that work, with Korean retail bands checked in August 2026:
- AESTURA Atobarrier 365 Cream, ceramide NP and panthenol, 80ml, ₩28,000–39,000. It is the most-mentioned single product in olyoung.shop's tally of 482 real user recommendations across 323 products (17 August 2026), with 14 recommendations. It is also thick, and plenty of people switch to the lotion version in humid weather.
- Round Lab 1025 Birch Juice Moisturizing Cream, birch sap with ceramide and panthenol, 80ml, ₩20,000–26,000, fragrance-free and frequently 1+1 during Olive Young sales. Deliberately unexciting. If you want a visible glow finish, this is not it.
Both are ceramide creams, and ceramides are the least glamorous and most reliable thing on a Korean shelf. They refill the lipids that winter, over-cleansing and strong actives strip out.
It is worth noting where the Anua toner sits in that same tally: not at the top. The most-mentioned product on the list is a plain ceramide cream, not a viral toner. This bottle's fame is considerably louder in English than it is in Korean threads.
